I suspect many people never really explore the chance of being self-employed. They just shrug it off as something they couldn't too. I sneaked into being self-employed, by starting a little hobby business which just grew and grew until one day I went to my boss and told her I no longer had the time for my day job. When I started, I never imagined I'd employ people in three countries and own properties in two. You’re absolutely right about the huge number of opportunities out there.
