10 Simple Maintenance Tips For Your Car
One of the major reasons why cars break down is the lack of preventative maintenance. I recently had to fork over several hundred dollars to get my tires and alignment taken care of. This was no big deal but the disappointment was not long in coming.
Shortly after I had the work done, I found that I still had a significant pull to the left when I drove on the highway. And the pull led me to think that the alignment clearly was not done the way that it should have been. After a quick trip to the body shop, I was able to get it fixed for good without paying anything additional. However, after talking to the person at the shop, a little maintenance could have prevented the whole ordeal.
So, with that, I happily present the following link to 10 basic things you can do to maintain your car. Many of these are basic, but it never hurts to review and focus on the basics. These ten tips will be helpful for you and should give you something that you can easily keep track of.

I would also add to this the following:
- Replace the fuel filter every 15,000 miles.
- Replace the air filter every 15,000 miles.
- Change your accessory belt every 30-45,000 miles.
These three, relatively cheap, items can not only help you get better MPG, but also can help you from becomming stranded. Belts are often neglected until they break — usually in the most inconvenient of places.
