Inexpensive Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas

Still recovering from your Christmas spending spree? Here are some Valentine’s Day ideas that are sure to please your significant other and your bank account.

The Traditional Handmade Card:

Show your love by creating a unique, sentimental card that demonstrates you care more than a store-bought card ever could. If you are feeling really creative you can write a short poem, or even choose a classic love poem to include within.

Made With Love:

Buy an ice cream or chocolate cake, along with colorful icing. Pour your heart out in a sweet message of love written across the cake. Make a special meal, or in my case order out from their favorite restaurant.

Gift Basket Of Love:

Create a comprehensive gift basket encompassing innumerable items. It’s not about how much you can spend to buy a luxurious gift for your someone special. Fill the basket with things that signify just how well you know each other.

Snapfish:

Pictures are worth a thousand words. www.Snapfish.com offers lots of ways to say I love you through personalized photo products. I made an inexpensive 2007 calendar for family members this Christmas and it was a hit. Some other ideas from this site include, photo flip books, mouse pads, stationary and mugs.

The Mix CD Never Gets Old:

Download or record the most meaningful songs in your relationship and compile them together into a greatest hits CD. This gift will take a little thinking to gather the songs, but only seconds to burn to a CD. Download your favorite tunes from www.itunes.com.

Make It Personal:

If you want to send a special message or just remember the day, check out www.personalcreations.com. They have a great selection of affordable gifts along with an amazing clearance section. You can even personalize an iPod case.

Not Your Average Bouquet:

There are lots of unique flower bouquets available out there today. The most unique bouquet I’ve come across is one you can eat! The best kind of course. These cool arrangements are designed for your specific occasion and yummy to devour. Check them out at www.cookiesbydesign.com.

No Thinking Involved:

If you go to www.findgift.com and click on Valentine’s Day, a list of very cool, kind of silly and inexpensive gifts are available. I liked the “write you own conversation” candy jar. Express your feelings in a deliciously fun way! The candy jar is custom personalized with your own special messages engraved inside each conversation heart.

If you are truly at a loss, the traditional hugs and kisses are a sure deal sealer for most.
