I wonder if their website would like to buy a vowel.

Tom January 5, 2009

I’m sure with all the fees they are collecting, they can afford to buy more then just a vowel…

My question…if anyone experienced their service, would you please share, and, what can they do that CPA and a Tax Attorney can’t?

    Evan January 5, 2009

Tom, I don’t have any first hand customer experience, but it looks like the main advantage Tax Masters and other tax representation folks claim is that a tax cpa or tax lawyer are good for returns, defense, and such, but that the settlements are the specialty of tax relief firms.

One thing I do know from personal experience is that you should never use the same tax cpa who prepared your taxes to represent you in an audit. It was my experience that my cpa’s stupidity got me in trouble to begin with and wound up getting me in more trouble before all was said and done. Talk about wasted money…

ob server, I’m slow. I finally figured out what you meant. The url is txmstr.com.

Hah! Need to buy a vowel is right. LOL, albeit with stupidity.

Go to the BBB to find out what Tax Masters can do for you.
    Also visit: http://www.ripoffreports.com
    http://www.complaintsboard.com
    and more websites.

That is what Tax Masters can do for you!

Thank you Evan

you have a point, CPA that filled should not be defending it…
I decided to give TaxMasters a try…will post my feedback when everything (hopefully) settled.

Tax Masters is a rip off. They have an “F” rating with the BBB. View the Houston BBB website for more information. The complaints keep growing. The commercials and advertisements need to be stopped. Do an internet search on “Consumer reports Tax Masters” or something like that and see all the complaints listed on those websites. For example: http://www.ripoffreports.com
http://www.complaintsboard.com
and more websites.

Warning: I highly advise that you not sign up with this company or give them your payment information. You will get nothing for your money and end up working with deceitful and incompetent people. They have a no cancelation policy that they will not tell you about until you say cancel. I cancelled in less then 24 hours and they have my money and will not refund me.

My experience with TaxMasters has been the same a Kamah.
I contacted TaxMasters based on the endorsements made by
Dennis Miller, Bill O’Rielly and Glen Beck from Fox News. What a mistake. These guys can not be trusted.

The bottom line is that TaxMasters has a proven record of horrible customer service. In my opinion TaxMasters out of Houston Texas has earned the “F” rating from the BBB.

Please heed the warnings made by the BBB. Stay clear of TaxMasters and find a local CPA to handle your tax issues.

Complete scam. When I questioned the risk/reward in spending $4,750 to have potential have a $15,000 IRS bill negotiated to $3,000, after I have already been denied an OIC, I was told “oh, since your in state without an income tax we could reduce our fee to $2,750…” huh?

I repeatedly asked on what basis they would make an appeal to IRS to reduce my balance, since OIC didn’t work, and I have been told by a local Tax Attorney that I had no hope of reduction, but never got any answer…Silly me still held onto a sliver of hope and requested an agreement be sent over for review via email….And nothing.

Guess they hold out for more inexperience fish.
